Many activities in response to Vietnam Book Day

Provincial People's Committee directed departments, sectors and localities to carry out activities in response to the 5^th Vietnam Books’ Day (21 Apr) in 2018 in the province to promote reading culture, honor book values. At this time, departments and sectors have organized seminars, book introduction; propagated celebrating activities; introduced good valuable books to readers. On the district-level, People's committees held a reading contest associated with activities of associations and unions, with local political and cultural activities.

The celebration of Vietnam Books’ Day is to honor the value of books, affirm the role, position and importance of books in social life; build and develop reading culture in the community; Honor readers and participants in the process of collecting, researching, composing, publishing, printing, distributing, storing and advertising books. This activity also enhances the responsibility of all levels, sectors, agencies, social organizations, mobilizes community participation and all social resources for reading culture development.
