Facilitating enterprises’ development

Provincial Department of Customs, on January 17, held a conference to review its activities in 2016 and deploy tasks for 2017, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In 2016, the Department last year received 5,213 enterprises registering to make customs procedures, up 14.8%; carried out more than 1.17million customs declarations, up 11.83%; collected and paid more than VN11.1trillion for State budget, up 8.18% compared to last year’s same period…This year, it will strive to surpass the average level of nations in ASEAN-4 in terms of customs clearance time and continue being one of Vietnamese customs sector’s top units.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Dung praised provincial Department of Customs for its achievements in 2016. In 2017 and in the following years, the sector will further maintain and create favorable conditions for enterprises to develop, contributing to the local development; be proactive to deploy solutions on tax collection, inspection, monitoring and prevention of smuggling, trade fraud; strengthen administrative reform to be able to absorb more enterprises, contributing to increasing the local State budget revenue…

On this occasion, the General Department of Customs awarded the emulation banner to provincial Department of Customs. Three outstanding individuals also received the certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.
