Industry shows proactive recovery

As informed by Department of Industry and Trade, on following the momentum of recovery in Q4 of 2020, by January 2021, production operations of enterprises have shown great signs of recovery as the exportation markets are becoming better. The quantity of orders made to enterprises has increased and they are getting to production to service the market needs.

By preliminary calculation, industrial production index of January 2021 was estimated to increase by 6.4% from previous month and 12.23% from previous year. The growth in mineral exploitation, processing industries, machinery, electricity production and distribution, and wastewater and discard treatment is 8.58%, 7.65%, 24.5%, and 7.53% respectively.
