Thuan An is home to 306 households with urban agricultural models

Thuan An town now has a total of 306 households getting involved in urban agricultural models with 45 hectares, including over 26 hectares for growing safe vegetables, 4,490 square meters for making beansprouts, 2.3 hectares for growing orchids and 14 hectares for growing ornamental plants.

Town-based animal husbandry models are also maintained and developed effectively. Particularly, there are 62 households getting involved in the models of breeding crocodiles, pythons, pigeons, rabbits…

Since early this year, the town has held 24 training courses and 2 seminars for more than 700 farmers; implemented 5 safe vegetable growing net-house models of 5,000 square meters in An Thanh ward and An Son commune. The town has also supported 6 urban agricultural models with a total expense of more than VND100million in An Son commune, Thuan Giao and An Thanh wards…As assessed, each participating household can earn the average profit of VND2million per 500 square meters.
