Thuan An’s collective economic activities in 2018 under review

Thuan An town’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development, on November 19, held a conference to review its activities in 2018.

Reportedly, the local government created favorable conditions for cooperatives and cooperative groups to expand their production-business activities and well use preferential loans for better development in 2018.

The town has so far had a total of 18 cooperatives with 234 members, 2 People’s Credit Funds and 1 branch with nearly 7,000 members together with 45 cooperative groups, 7 linkage groups with more than 430 members. In 2018, their total revenue was estimated at more than VND8.7billion, up 14% compared to 2017.

In 2019, the Steering Board will continue improving the quality of cooperatives, cooperative groups while creating advantageous conditions for collective economic organizations to be proactive to rise up and reach sustainable development. It will also attach special importance to enhancing the production value of urban economic development, trade-service activities and home industries in line with the local development plan.
