Thuan An’s collective economy upholds efficiency

Thuan An city’s Steering Board for Collective Economic Development has just partially reviewed its activities in the first half of 2020 and defined orientations, tasks for the rest of the year.

Over the past six months, the Steering Board coordinated with relevant agencies to create favorable conditions for cooperatives, cooperative groups to uphold resources for production development, well use preferential loans, increase labor productivity to bring stable incomes to members. So far, the city has had a total of 21 cooperatives, 2 people’s credit funds, 46 cooperative groups and 3 linkage groups. Town-based cooperatives and cooperative groups have played an important role in production and daily life of the local farming households, contributing to shifting the local economic structure, reducing poverty and ensuring social welfare.
