10th provincial Youth Union congress concludes with three major tasks set

The 10th provincial Youth Union congress for the 2017-2022 tenure concluded yesterday morning, September 14. Attending the event were Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the province and provincial Youth Union over periods; heroic Vietnamese mothers; leaders of sectors, mass organizations in the province.

The 10th provincial Youth Union congress for the 2017-2022 tenure concluded successfully after three working days.

The congress approved several contents on the role of Youth Union members for a Project on Binh Duong smart city; presented a report on Youth Union task and children-teenagers’ movements for the 2012-2017 tenure under the theme of “Binh Duong’s youths proudly advancing”.

The congress also elected a new executive board of the 10th provincial Youth Union. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan was elected as Secretary of provincial Youth Union for the 2017-2022 tenure. A 12-member delegation of provincial Youth Union to attend the 11th national Youth Union congress was also introduced.

At the closing session, 100% of delegates ratified the Resolution of the 10th provincial Youth Union congress for the 2017-2022 tenure. In the new tenure, with the theme of “Binh Duong’s youths with solidarity, volunteer, creativeness, integration and development”, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will continue improving Youth Union task and children-teenagers’ movements in both form and content, aiming to build up a youth generation with cultural lifestyle, great patriotism, knowledge and volunteer in homeland construction.

To realize the above target, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will concentrate on 3 major tasks, including improving the quality of Youth Union cadres; diversifying ways to gather and unite youths, especially young workers and take care of them; further coordinating with agencies and units to uphold youths’ volunteer and creative spirit in all aspects, especially in building cultural lifestyle, urban civilization and enhancing the quality of the new-style rural construction program.

The congress also set up targets for the new tenure, comprising of having 100% of Youth Union members disseminated the Party and Youth Union’s great policies; reaching at least 2 effective models on education for teenagers and children in each Youth Union branch at district, town and city levels; giving vocational consultancy for 25,000 Youth Union members; introducing jobs to 5,000 youths; getting at least 10 subjects on scientific research applied; planting 25,000 green trees; admitting additional 80,000 Youth Union members…

Many projects, programs and works will also be realized in the 2017-2022 tenure. Particularly, provincial Youth Union will deploy a project on “supporting youths for scientific research” for the period of 2018-2022; coordinate with provincial Department of Science and Technology to carry out support activities for business start-up youths; further implement projects approved, including a project on “gathering, uniting young workers for the period of 2016-2020”; a project on “improving legal awareness of youths for the period of 2014-2018”…; mobilize organizations and individuals to donate at least 100 houses of compassion to teenagers and children with difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union also awarded the certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 20 individuals with excellent achievements in the last tenure.
