14,597 students enroll for public 10th grades

On May 29, provincial Department of Education and Training hosted the entrance exam for 10^th grades of public high schools in school year of 2019-2020. The whole province had 14,597 students registering for the exam, of which 569 students enroll for Hung Vuong Gifted High School. The exam took place until the end of June 1. Candidates did 3 tests of literature, math, and English. Particularly, contestants of Hung Vuong Gifted High School took additional tests of their specialized subjects; each student could register for up to 2 specialized subjects. Candidates of high-quality high schools, like Trinh Hoai Duc High School (Thuan An Town) and Di An High School, took the general tests like non-specialized public high schools, and will be admitted when there would no test score of below 4.

To keep improving educational quality and classifying students after graduating from junior high school, in school year of 2019-2020, Department of Education and Training will admit 70% junior high school graduates registering for 10^th grades of public high schools. It is expected that the standard score for admission to public 10^th grades to be announced by Department of Education and Training on July 16.
