15th BTV singing festival for the elderly kicks off

The opening ceremony of the 15^th BTV singing festival was held at provincial Culture-Movie Center on the afternoon of September 20. Attending the event were Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of sectors, departments and mass organizations in the province.

This year’s festival has absorbed 600 candidates from 15 art troupes of the elderly in Binh Phuoc, HCM city, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ca Mau, Tay Ninh, Ninh Thuan and Binh Duong. Each art troupe will perform a program, including many different forms, within 30 minutes.

This is a useful playground for the elderly in the southern provinces organized by Binh Duong Radio-Television Station on the occasion of the 26^th anniversary of International Day of the Elderly.
