On Dec 10, the 17th session of the 9th Provincial People's Council began its third working day and concluded. Attenders of the closing session were Vo Van Minh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Provincial Party Standing Committee member, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; delegates of the 9th Provincial People's Council, and leaders of departments and branches.

27 important resolutions adopted

On the last working day of the session, the delegates of Provincial People's Council voted to pass 27 resolutions that have important implications, affect many aspects of socio-economic life, such as: Budget; public investment; list of projects, works subject to land acquisition; approval of payrolls of civil servants and public employees; vocational training development plan; policies in agricultural sector; social assistance and benefits; prices for medical examination and treatment services; regime for militia and self-defense force, support for justice agency's works, and a number of fees in physical trainings and sports, natural resources - environment.

According to the approved Resolution on socio-economic development plan for 2021, overall goal of the province is to restore growth and continue to enhance economic restructuring by increasing the proportion of service industry, stabilising proportion of manufacture; improving the quality of growth. To invest in socio-economic infrastructure, urban - service development as a foundation for Binh Duong to become a class-1 city, contributing to the goal completion of improving and enhancing people's lives, building Binh Duong smart city. To continue developing education and training, improve the quality of human resources to meet the needs of socio-economic development. To step up the reform of administrative procedures, improve transparency and competitiveness, create a favorable environment to attract investment, stimulate production and business. To improve the qualifications and management capacity of civil servants; strengthen national defense - security, political stability, social order and safety; To heighten the efficiency of foreign affairs and actively integrate internationally.

To create the premise for a new stage of development

Closing of the session, Vo Van Minh, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, assessed that over three working days, Provincial People's Council had focused on discussing, contributing ideas and expressing high consent with the contents presented at the meeting. With straightforwardness and enthusiasm, the participants analyzed deeply, objectively and comprehensively evaluated the advantages, difficulties, results and limitations of task implementation in 2020. Since then, Provincial People's Committee appreciated the administration of Provincial People's Committee in the implementation of socio-economic, defense and security tasks in 2020, especially efforts to remove difficulties for production and business activities, pay attention to the implementation of social security and welfare policies, timely and effective solve problems arising while the general situation faced many difficulties due to severe effects of the Covid-19.

The Chairman of Provincial People's Committee emphasized that, despite the many changes and difficulties, especially the huge challenges from the epidemic and economic recession; some targets were not completed as planned, but 2020 was still a year when the province gained many good results, contributing significantly to the good implementation of the five-year socio-economic development goals 2016-2020, while well implementing the dual objectives, preventing epidemics and promoting socio-economic development at the same time, quickly establish a new normal state. Thereby, to strengthening people's trust with the Party, the government, creating new forces for the province to firmly enter the next stage.

2021 will be a year of particular significance with many new opportunities. This is the year of the 13th National Party Congress; election of members of the 10th National Assembly and people's councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, which will be also the first year of the five-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025). In order to well implement the objectives and tasks in 2021, creating a good premise, in addition to the solutions identified in reports and the speech of Provincial People's Committee Chairman and in the resolution adopted by Provincial People's Council, it is recommended that Provincial People's Committee, branches and people's committees at all levels focus on actively, effectively implement a number of key issues, such as: Continue to uphold strongly the spirit of solidarity, consensus, proactiveness, and high responsibility to achieve the goal of economic development recovery combined with disease prevention and control, strive to achieve the highest targets and plans set out in 2021, creating a good premise for new development stage.
