20 significant resolutions approved at the 4th session of the 9th tenure provincial People’s Council

July 14, the 4th session of the 9th tenure provincial People’s Council voted to approve 20 significant draft resolution before concluding under highly responsible manner and democracy of the attending delegates.

Of 20 approved resolutions at the session, some resolutions are of importance including: Resolution on the approval of the proposal to recognize Thu Dau Mot City as a grade I city, belonging to Binh Duong province; Resolution on approving the project on establishment of Lai Uyen township in Bau Bang district; Resolution on approving the project on establishment of Tan Thanh township in Bac Tan Uyen district; Resolution on the classification of administrative units in Binh Duong province; Resolution on the establishment of supervision delegation of the provincial People's Council on the State’s management of land in Binh Duong province; Resolution on the adjustment and supplement of some articles of the regulation of operation of the 9th term provincial People's Council of 2016-2021; Resolution on the settlement of voters' proposals submitted to the third session of the 9th provincial People's Council; Resolution on stipulating tuition fees for pre-school and general education establishments in Binh Duong province from 2017-2018 to 2020-2021.

Some of the new contents approved in the session include the resolutions on the settlement of voters' proposals submitted to the third session of the 9th provincial People's Council. Accordingly, functional agencies have received, responded, and replied to 152 proposals including 121 recommendations resolved and 31 remained in processing.

The approval of resolution on the approval of the proposal to recognize Thu Dau Mot City as a grade I city belonging to Binh Duong province is the major step for provincial People’s Committee to present to Ministry of Construction for consideration, inspection, and final submission to Prime Minister for approving type I city position of Thu Dau Mot City; thereon, Thu Dau Mot City shall be promoted to be developed by national and provincial planning and orientation of urban development. The establishment of Tan Thanh Township of Bac Tan Uyen District and Lai Uyen Township of Bau Bang District are within expectation and wishes the public, contributing to socio-economic development of the two localities. The resolution on classification of administrative units of Binh Duong province specifies the mark points required by Standing Board of National Assembly by which Binh Duong provincial Administrative Center is marked 73.24 points to be classified as type II.

Upholding responsibility and democracy, the session voted for approvals of draft resolutions and proceeded to removal of previous tenure’s positions of Nguyen Khoa Hai, Vo Van Cu, and Ho Quang Diep from their accordingly positions of Office Head of the 9th tenure provincial People’s Council of 2016-2021, former Director of Department of Industry and Trade, and former Director of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Accordingly, Bui Van Ra, Nguyen Van Danh, Le Minh Quoc Cuong to the same for the 9th tenure of 2016-2021.

Addressing to conclude the session, Pham Van Canh, the permanent Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chair of provincial People’s Council stressed that the session has been successful while calling upon the delegates to uphold responsibility to disseminate, elaborate, and mobilizing the voters to implement the approved resolutions; to listen and record wishes of the voters and the public; to do researches and investigate reality of social life to extend feedbacks and proposals to provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, and concerned agencies. Standing Board of provincial People’s Council and its divisions, delegate groups and delegates, based on their assignments shall well implement their supervision roles, especially against resolutions of resolving recommendations of voters and supervision programs Standing Board of provincial People’s Council and its divisions in 2017; to improve operation quality of civil designated agencies. Provincial People’s Committee is required to implement the approved resolutions with continual care for resolution and response to voters’ queries and opinions as the resolutions are the effective measurement of the jobs done.
