200-day emulation journey, “Volunteer spring” campaign launched

Di An town’s Youth Union has just launched a 200-day emulation journey in celebration of Youth Union Congresses at all levels and a “Volunteer spring-Sweater of winter “ program with many significant activities for youths and children, helping them enjoy Tet plus many others for the sake of the community.

The 200-day emulation journey in celebration of Youth Union Congresses at all levels towards the town’s 4th Youth Union Congress for the 2017-2022 tenure will take place from January 5 to July 30. Tran Bao Lam, Secretary of the town’s Youth Union said that each Youth Union will register to do at least one youth work in celebration of Youth Union Congresses at all levels with a focus on urban development. Under the “Volunteer spring-Sweater of winter” program, the town’s Youth Union will visit and organize activities striking up a friendship with Dac Ha border post in Binh Phuoc province. The delegation will present 3,000 notebooks to poor pupils living around Dac Ka border post; provide free medical check-ups and medicine for people in Bu Gia Map district’s Bu Gia Map commune; visit and offer gifts to policy beneficiary families; give 50 gifts for ethnic minority households; tour a landmark on the Vietnam and Cambodia borderline; organize cultural-sports exchanges with cadres and soldiers at Dac Ka border post…

On the art performance night “The affectionate relationship between army and people”, leaders of Dac Ka border post will inform the town’s Youth Union members about a task of ensuring order and security in the border area. The town’s Youth Union will also exchange with them on Youth Union members’ participation in maintaining the local social order and security; give gifts to all soldiers at the border post.

The above-mentioned activities will contribute to educating Youth Union members about patriotism, awareness of national sovereignty protection while upholding  their volunteer spirit in socio-economic development, national sovereignty protection over sea, islands, border areas.
