204 outstanding collectives, individuals in taking care of laborers honored

Early June 15, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with provincial Labor Union, Industrial Parks Management Board, VSIP Management Board held a ceremony to honor collectives and individuals taking good care of laborers on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018.

The province now has a total of more than 1 million laborers, 84% of whom are immigrant ones. On the last Tet festival, there were nearly 150,000 immigrant laborers staying in the province. Sectors and authorities at all levels of the province were proactive to organize a lot of practical activities for these laborers. Forty-six enterprises in the province also held recreational activities, year-end parties and lucky draw programs for them with prizes valued at VND52billion and presented 150,000 gifts worth more than VND50billion to them.

On this occasion, 153 collectives and 51 individuals were awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee for their excellent performance in taking care of laborers during the last Tet festival.
