250 workers mobilized to give blood

Early August 20, Thuan An town’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with the HCM city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center held the 9^th voluntary blood donation campaign of 2017 with the participation of more than 250 workers at Zhang Hung Cheng Company in An Thanh ward.

As a result, the center collected 175 units of blood, equivalent to 61,350milliliters.

*The same day, Thuan An town’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with Taiwan’s TzuChi charity group held a delegation to visit and present 13 gifts worth nearly VND14million to poor and near-poor households.

*The Red Cross Society of Tan Dong Hiep ward in Di An town yesterday also teamed up with the ward’s Volunteers’ Club to present 65 gifts to the local poor households.

It is known that each gift includes 1 box of instant noodle, 10 kg of rice, soya sauce, cooking oil, salt…The above gifts has a total value of VND19,5million, funded by members of the ward’s Volunteers’ Club.
