47 outstanding collectives, individuals in social charity work honored

North Tan Uyen district is now home to 100 poor households; 137 near-poor households; 114 ethnic minority households; 1,839 people enjoying social support. The district also has 2 social support centers, comprising of Tu Tam Nhan Ai social support center and Thien Than 2 social support center, and a center for the mentally under HCM city Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Every year, the district extracts its State budget and mobilizes billions of dong from donors to visit, present gifts to disadvantaged people…On this occasion of Vietnam Social Work Day, March 25, the district’s People’s Committee held a get-together for those who made contributions to the local social welfare work. Accordingly, there were 23 collectives and 24 individuals with excellent performance in this work honored.
