Action Month for Food Safety launched in Tan Uyen

Early April 17, Tan Uyen town’s Steering Board of Food Safety held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Food Safety and Hygiene 2018.

This year’s action month with the theme of “Strengthening responsibility of food producers and traders” is expected to take place from April 15 to May 15.  It will focus on opportunely propagandizing and providing people with information relating to food safety and hygiene; raise high the role of enterprises in food safety and hygiene; strengthen agencies, social organizations and customers’ monitoring over the legal enforcement on food safety and hygiene by food producing, trading facilities and individuals. Over the past time, the local sectors and authorities at all levels drastically realized a task of ensuring food safety and hygiene, minimizing food poisoning cases.

After the ceremony, a parade with flower decorated trucks through the town’s main streets took place, aiming to propagandize the local people about food poisoning prevention.
