Action month for gender equality, gender-based violence prevention launched in Tan Uyen

Representatives of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Tan Uyen town, sectors and mass organizations of the town have just held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Gender Equality, Gender-Based Violence Prevention 2018.

With the theme of “Being proactive to prevent violence against women and children”, this year’s action month begins from November 15 to December 15. At the launching ceremony, the town’s Youth Union members and police took part in a parade through main streets, aiming to call for people from all strata, especially men to join hands to realize targets on gender equality for the advancement of women, contributing to building up a civilized Tan Uyen city towards sustainable development.
