Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene 2020 promoted

Over the past years, the province strengthened activities on labor safety-hygiene and fire fighting-prevention among people from all strata.

Diverse activities

Pham Van Tuyen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) cum Deputy Head of provincial Steering Board for Labor Safety and Hygiene said that provincial Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene, provincial DoLISA 2019 was implemented with diverse activities.

Along with the Action Month, provincial DoLISA coordinated with the Inspection of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize a ceremony to launch the inspection campaign for woodwork sector in March, 2018 with the participation of 188 delegates.

Provincial Labor Union also instructed its branches and the Trade Union of province-based Industrial Parks to kick off the Workers ‘Month in association with a ceremony in response to the Action Month with more than 1,230 participants.

Under the guidance of the provincial Steering Board, province-based enterprises organized more than 30 launching ceremonies by many forms, absorbing more than 12,000 participants together representatives of relevant sectors, departments.

Mr.Tuyen added that through the Action Month, most employers, employees and locals had deeper awareness of their rights and deputies, thereby contributing to raising their responsibility for labor safety-hygiene and fire fighting-prevention.

Self-inspection and supervision strengthened

This year’s Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene under the theme of “Improvement of working conditions, risk management at workplace” has been implemented with many practical activities in association with measures against Covid-19 pandemic.

With the above theme, provincial Steering Board has set some major tasks, including improving and diversifying propaganda activities on ensuring labor safety-hygiene via the mass media; making law dissemination on labor safety-hygiene and fire fighting-prevention among businesses, especially ones with the high risk on workplace accidents; boosting self-supervision and supervision on labor safety and hygiene in businesses, aiming to prevent work-related accidents, fire and explosive cases while seriously handling infringements on fire fighting-prevention safety…

Mr.Tuyen also said that the Steering Board will further conduct sectors, authorities at all levels to uphold achievements done and soon improve shortcomings in this field.
