Additional face masks offered to provincial Military Command, the poor for Covid-19 prevention

The Red Cross Society of Tan Binh ward in Di An town, on April 6, donated 500 anti-bacterial cloth masks, 300 plastic face shields, 500 medical masks, 100 hand sanitizer bottles and 50 medical gloves to provincial Military Command.

In a bid to prevent Covid-19 pandemic, since late March, 2020, the ward’s Red Cross Society has called on organizations and individuals to make contributions to sewing cloth masks and face shields for needy people and isolation areas in the province. So far, members of the society have sewed nearly 2,200 cloth masks and made 560 face shields.

*The same day, upholding the spirit of “mutual love, mutual affection”, the Red Cross Society of Binh Thang ward in Di An city donated 21 rice packages worth VND130,000 each to 21 poor and near-poor households in the ward.

Prior to that, the society gave 100 anti-bacterial cloth masks worth VND1.1million together with 34 gifts worth VND10.2million, including rice, instant noodles and masks to the local poor and near-poor households. Members of the society also delivered 600 propaganda leaflets on Covid-19 prevention to locals…
