All out efforts made to treat Covid-19 patient

During the working program in Binh Duong in the morning of July 30, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and a delegation of central officials visited and inspected the preparation of facilities and equipment for the treating of Covid-19 infection at campus 2 of Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital with a scale of 5,000 beds in Thoi Hoa ward of Ben Cat town. Receiving and guiding the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the CPV Central Committee cum Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation and leaders of the province along with relevant departments and agencies.

Reporting to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the progress of establishing campus 2 of Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC, said the current progress of establishing the hospital is in the sprint stage to promptly put into stage 1 operation with a scale of 2,000 beds. In which, the treatment area was built at the logistics factory area of ​​BW Industrial Development Joint Stock Company (BWID) in Thoi Hoa Industrial Park of Ben Cat town. BWID is a joint venture of the two corporations of Becamex IDC and American financial group Warbur Pincus. Construction and materials for the treatment area are funded by Becamex IDC and some other medical equipment. The machinery and equipment are invested by the State budget.

Adding more information to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi said that campus 2 of Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital has a total treatment area of ​​65,000 square meters, of which the construction floor area is arranged for the hospital at 41,000 square meters for 5,000 beds and ancillary function areas.  In which, the area has 600 beds equipped with fixed oxygen aspirators connected to the central oxygen supplying system.

The treatment area will have the function of treating mild to moderate asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.
Constructed on July 2 and stage 1 is expected to be completed on August 3, the hospital will receive stratified treatment for mild to moderate patients and will put into full operation on August 8 with the scale of 5,000 hospital beds. The total cost of construction and interior materials is worth VND 50 billion; medical equipment and protective equipment is worth VND 77 billion.

Speaking at the visit and inspection, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the dynamism and efforts of Binh Duong province as in a short time, it established a field hospital with a scale of 5,000 beds. The hospital is equipped with information technology, management and central control system that can monitor and manage the number and health status of cases, a central oxygen system to help treat patients with. The President noted that the operation at the hospital should ensure the prevention and control of cross-infection in the treatment area and should ensure the safety of medical forces, staffs and doctors in direct treatment of patients.

At the site, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc also visited and gave gifts to encourage the workers who are working day and night on the construction site to perfect and put the hospital into operation as soon as possible. The State President encouraged the health sector of the province, departments, central branches of provinces and cities to support Binh Duong province to make their best to treat patients.
