All people unite, join hands to prevent and fight against the pandemic

Responding to the call of the Presidium of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee "All people unite, strive to prevent and control the COVID-19", Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched a campaign to call for the entire people to participate in and support the Covid-19 prevention control in the province. Provincial Fatherland Front Committee calls on compatriots, officers and soldiers of armed forces, agencies, units, businesses in the province and the overseas Binh Duong communities to join hands with provincial Party and government for the COVID-19 prevention and control.

According to Trần Thị Kim Lan, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, after the appeal, businesses were very sympathetic and supportive, especially to the policy of offering Covid-19 vaccines for the entire population. Right at the launching ceremony of the province, many businesses, agencies and organizations contributed resources to the province's COVID-19 prevention control work with a total amount of over 31 billion VND and some essential medical supplies. The goal is to mobilizing resources to buy Covid-19 vaccines for people in the province as soon as possible; thus many businesses have actively supported with amounts of up to billions of VND; some businesses even supported tens of billions VND. They are: Becamex IDC Corporation donated 25 billion VND; Binh Duong Lottery Company 3 billion VND; Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company 2 billion VND...

Mai Thanh Bình, Director of Binh Duong Lottery Company, said that with high sense of social responsibility, the company realized that it was necessary to share difficulties and contribute to common activities of the province. This wave of COVID-19 this time is very complicated and the policy of buying vaccines for all people is very urgent at this time. Therefore, responding to the call of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Directors Board of the company discussed and reached an agreement to donate 3 billion VND to the province's Covid-19 prevention and control work. “With this support, Binh Duong Lottery Company wishes to contribute a small part to the disease prevention and control work. We also hope that Binh Duong would soon be able to buy vaccines for all people, and control the epidemic in the area," Bình said.

Joining hands with provincial leaders in this time, Directors Board of Ba Thien Hau Temple in Binh Duong also donated VND 200 million to provincia anit-Covid-19 fund. Trần Vĩnh An, representative of Ba Thien Hau Temple, said: “The support amount is not much, but it is our affection and sense of responsibility, our sharing with the community with the aim to help the province well implementing the COVID-19 prevention control work. We will try our best to serve pilgrims when the epidemic situation is stabilized, to create a stable fund to better serve the society." Besides, in recent days, Red Cross Society at all levels in the province have also actively mobilized resources for the disease prevention and control. Provincial Red Cross said that as of June 1, the total amount of money and goods received was nearly 5 billion VND.

Meanwhile, Nguyễn Kim Loan, Chairwoman of Provincial Labor Confederation, said that responding the call of the Presidium of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Provincial Fatherland Front, provincial Labor Confederation also call upon businesses, trade union members to support provincial fund for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccine and the Vaccine Fund "Million doses of vaccines for poor workers" of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Loan said: “This is a very necessary and practical program at this time. Provincial Labor Confederation wishes to have as many resources as possible to support the purchase of vaccines so that all people can be vaccinated against this disease as soon as possible, especially poor workers. After the launch of provincial Labor Confederation, businesses have shown their attention and are willing to support this work with a hope to have vaccines for their workers soon.

This is the 4th wave of COVID-19 in the country with a larger scale, spreading to many provinces and cities with many outbreaks and more dangerous variants. To be proactive in disease prevention and control work, provincial authorities at all levels are always in the position of be always ready to fight, ready to respond when infected cases appear in the area. In recent days, a number of positive cases have been recorded in some areas in the province, and authorities at all levels have quickly activated appropriate and flexible disease prevention control plans.

According to Trần Thị Kim Lan, in order to fulfill the province's goal in the coming time, that is to ensure the disease prevention and control while stimualting investment, socio-economic development, and mobilizing resources to buy vaccines for all people, it is necessary to have the cooperation and involvement of compatriots, officials, agencies, units and businesses. As of June 1, the total support amount of businesses and benefactors for the province's COVID-19 prevention control work increased by nearly 40 billion VND.
