Horasis Asia Meeting 2018 held in Binh Duong is an opportunity to promote the image of Binh Duong province in particular and Vietnam in general to international partners, improve management capacity, level of science and technology, contributing to accelerating the progress of Smart City Project of Binh Duong. Horasis 2018 is co-organized by Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee and Becamex IDC Corporation and co-organizers, including All Indian Management Association (AIMA), Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). This is an opportunity to promote the image of Binh Duong province to international partners, improve management capacity, scientific and technological level to contribute to the progress of Binh Duong Smart City Project. It is also a chance for enterprises in the province to exchange and connect with the network of senior partners, founders, CEOs and leaders of leading companies in Asia, the region and the world, heighten the capability to find opportunities, development partners, boost trade, investment cooperation between Vietnam, Asia and the world.

With this event, Binh Duong continues to become a highlight when hosting Horasis Asia Meeting 2018, shortly after the successful organization of the 11th WTA Conference, Binh Duong province was honorably one of the 21 region having outstanding smart city strategy in the world in 2019 (Smart21) according to criteria of Intelligent Community Forum (ICF).

At this event, provincial leaders and international guests will discuss to come up with new solutions, visions, new business models, support start-up businesses and solutions to Smart City Project. As a result, domestic enterprises have the opportunity to exchange and connect with a network of senior partners, founders, CEOs and leaders of leading companies in Asia, the region and the world, heighten capability to look for opportunities, development partners, promote trade, cooperation between Vietnam, Asia and the world.

Speaking about the reasons for choosing Binh Duong as the host, Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, President and Founder of Horasis said: "We are really attracted by the strength and potential of Vietnam's economy in general as well Binh Duong Province in particular. In addition, good infrastructure, modern Exhibition and Convention Center, and the great support from local authorities are also very important factors in our decision. According to experts, the connection, learning experiences from large international companies for the integration would bring lot knowledge, experience and many benefits from international enterprises: Firstly, financial potential of Vietnam Nam is mostly weak, the management and rotation of capital sources are difficult, so this is the opportunity to learn financial management experiences from large enterprises. In addition, our human resources are plentiful but generally have low skills; this makes the division of labor system inadequate. We can learn human management from large corporations. Secondly, at present, industrial products are still limited, because Vietnamese enterprises have difficulties in consolidating and developing new markets, while many developing countries are choosing the export increasing strategy. So Vietnam will face competitive pressure right at the domestic market. As a result, Vietnam will face competitive pressure in the domestic market.

The expansion of domestic market under trade agreements would turn Vietnam into a consuming market for foreign products. High-quality foreign goods enjoy tax reductions, which put Vietnamese goods into a fierce competition.
