Asian Economic Cooperation Forum 2019 will bring Binh Duong many new investment opportunities

The 2019 Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) is about to take place in Binh Duong. Up to now, all preparations for this event have been completed. On this occasion, Binh Duong Newspaper reporter had an interview with Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, Chairman of Horasis.

- In 2018, Binh Duong successfully organized Horasis. How do you evaluate the results as well as the meaning of the success of this forum in building smart cities (TPTM), attracting investment?

- The Horasis 2018 event has brought Binh Duong to the world stage, the center of important discussions in Asia. We are pleased to see many important collaborations established and implemented within Horasis 2018, such as the cooperation between Becamex IDC Corporation and Nitol Niloy Group (Bangladesh), Intelizest (Singapore) contributing to the construction of TPTM. . After Horasis 2018 ended, the province has attracted many large corporations to explore the investment environment and sign cooperation agreements.

I hope Horasis 2019 will continue to be successful and have many important investment partnerships, creating a force for the province to successfully build Binh Duong City.

- In 2019, Binh Duong has been ranked in the top 21 cities with the world's smart development strategy for the second time in a row, voted by the World Smart Community Forum (ICF) and this is the second time. successive Binh Duong was selected to host Horasis. According to him, the results that Binh Duong has achieved over the past time will create motivation for the province in economic development, as well as affirm the prestige and image of Binh Duong with international friends?

- The aforementioned results are of great significance for Binh Duong to continue breaking through socio-economic development, which affirms that the province's development trend of commercial city is effective and consistent with the global trend; elevating Binh Duong to a new position in the international arena; opens up the opportunity to cooperate and exchange experiences with ICF's network of more than 180 thriving cities around the world. This result also contributes to the province's breakthrough in attracting foreign investment, attracting knowledge workers, institutes / schools in the world.

Currently, Binh Duong is building and implementing important projects such as logistics, environmental protection, green energy, smart transportation ... The development of industry 4.0 is also very important in Binh Duong and developing TP. Many experts also want to come here, share about TPTM. The TPTM model needs to be developed in many places, transformed into cities so people can enjoy their lives. We hope that Binh Duong will be more successful in building a worthwhile place to live.

- How do you evaluate the preparations for the organization Horasis of Binh Duong province up to this point?

- Horasis this time gathered more than 1,000 guests who were businessmen from more than 60 countries, leaders of Government, ministries, central branches, leaders of provinces, cities and associations. Thanks to the co-operation between Binh Duong province, Becamex IDC Corporation and Horasis very closely, all preparations have been done very well, ready to welcome delegates and speakers from all over to attend. About 350 speakers are expected to attend the forum.

- What do you expect from Horasis 2019, as well as the significance for the economic development of the province, especially in attracting investment and building a TP?

- I think Horasis will bring Binh Duong a lot of businesses as well as new investment opportunities. I hope that many cooperation agreements will take place this year, such as the important ones between Becamex IDC Corporation and National University of Singapore, between Becamex and the Institute of Applied Informatics Mechanics. I also wish that the forum would bring interesting experiences for the guests and speakers attending Horasis this time.
