Update: 23-08-2017 | 10:51:55

Bau Bang district has concentrated on realizing a task of raising awareness of the local sectors, authorities at all levels and creating high consensus among the society about the role and importance of women work; boosting the Party’s leadership over women work; improving operational contents and forms of the local Women’s Unions at all levels

According to Tran Thanh Liem, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Bau Bang district’s Party Committee, Party organizations and authorities at all levels of the district have paid more attention to women work, thereby protecting the local women’s legitimate rights and interests, making favorable conditions for them to uphold their creativeness and fine virtues in the period of intensified national industrialization and modernization.

The campaign of “Five No-s, Three Clean-s” is concretized by Bau Bang district’s Women’s Union

Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung, Chairwoman of the district’s Women’s Union said that although just being established for more than 3 years, the district’s Women’s Union has surmounted difficulties and reaped certain results, absorbing the participation of numerous women. The district’s Women’s Union and its branches have made efforts in improving their operational contents and forms; developed a variety of new models; organized many practical activities on women care and protection…The whole district is now home to 7 Women’s Union branches with 9,400 members. The district’s Women’s Union has also set up 89 clubs, namely “Men are the fulcrum of women”, “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, “Women with the law”…with 2,869 members.

Along with building “well-off, equal, advanced and happy” families, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels have attached special importance to giving vocational training for women in association with a task of supporting poor ones in economic development. So far, they have opened 24 classes on vocational training and sci-tech transfer for more than 561 officials and members; introduced jobs to more than 1,500 female laborers…

However, according to Mr.Liem, Bau Bang has still faced challenges in women task as this is a newly-established district with fast modernization and industrialization. That’s reason why the district will continue attaching special importance to women work in the period of intensified national modernization and industrialization under the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No.11-NQ/TW dated April 27, 2007 and provincial Party Committee’s Action Program No.56-CTHD/TU dated December 2007. First of all, the district will further concentrate on realizing a task of raising awareness of sectors, authorities at all levels and creating high consensus among the society about the role and importance of women work; boosting the Party’s leadership over women work; pay more attention to vocational training for rural women; strengthen mutual help in economic development, poverty reduction and job creation…

Especially, the district’s Women’s Union needs to improve its operational contents and forms; promote the emulation movement of “Women actively study, creatively work and build happy families” in association with education on Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of intensified national modernization and industrialization; mobilize officials and members to train themselves in accordance with the following criteria: health, knowledge, vocational skills; creativeness-flexibility; cultural lifestyle, generosity.
