Bau Bang with solutions to ensure sustainable development

In 2017, Bau Bang will boost industrial development and investment attraction. This will positively affect socio-economic development, but also make the locality face challenges on order-security, traffic safety, education, healthcare…Before the situation, the district has set numerous solutions to successfully carry out the year’s targets towards sustainable development.

Foundation of 2016

One of Bau Bang district’s most highlighted points in 2016 was to build the local favorable investment climate to lure more projects. The district also well realized policies on social welfare, education and health; continued maintaining the local political security, social order and safety…

Particularly, the district reached growth of over 15%, 22% and 5.6% in terms of industrial production value, total retail value of commodities-services and agricultural production value, respectively. The district also attracted 108 investment projects with a total registered capital of US$83.5million and nearly US$9.7trillion, bringing the total number of investment projects herein to 481 with a total registered capital of more than US$24.5trillion and US$1.3billion. In addition, the district strengthened socio-cultural fields, maintained well carrying out national target programs.

Nguyen Huu Chi, Secretary of the district’s Party Committee said that along with certain achievements over the past time, the district has faced a lot of shortcomings on environmental pollution, food safety and hygiene, urban order, construction, education, healthcare…for change.

Solutions

In 2017, Bau Bang district will promote industrial development and investment attraction. This will positively affect socio-economic development, but also make the locality face challenges on order-security, traffic safety, education, healthcare…Hence, the district has set numerous solutions to successfully carry out the year’s targets towards sustainable development.

Particularly, according to Mr.Chi, the district must create the local advantageous business climate to absorb many resources for industrial-service development in association with the local sustainable socio-economic development program; promote investment at existing industrial parks and support investors of the projects in site clearance and compensation. The district will also mobilize all resources and brace up economic sectors to get involved in trade-services. For development in the right direction, the district’s agricultural sector will concentrate on urban and hi-tech models; organize training courses on growing safe vegetables under VietGap standards…

The district also needs to have long-term solutions for development in the right direction as an urban-industrial hub of the province; simultaneously take methods to maintain the local political security, social safety and order, further promote the “All people take part in defending national security” movement, build an effective political system at the local demand for development…

With the above-mentioned solutions, the district is aiming at reaching and surpassing the targets of the Resolution of the local Party Committee in 2017.

Speaking at a recent meeting with the district’s Party Standing Committee, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation assessed that over the past time, the district made good development steps, especially in newly-style rural construction. In the coming time, the district needs to enhance the quality of newly-style rural communes; promote basic construction works; soon fulfill the local project on socio-economic development for the period of 2010-2025…
