Becamex IDC and Central Retail Vietnam cooperate to develop “Go!” Shopping Mall in Binh Duong

On May 20^th 2021, at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Binh Duong province, the Signing Ceremony Cooperation Contract between Becamex IDC and Central Retail Vietnam about developing the Shopping Mall project, named “GO!”, has been organized. This project has a planning area of 3 hectares, an investment of 35 million USD; located at Ben Cat town, in the near future, this place will become the focal point of the community, able to serve 300,000 people in the locality and surrounding area.

After 20 years of developing industrial infrastructure, Binh Duong nowadays has become the most developed industrial region in the country. The rapid industrial development process has created a significant gap between industry and trade – service, this is one of the challenges of Binh Duong in developing a balanced and sustainable economy in the next period.

To solve this challenge, Binh Duong has built the “Binh Duong Innovation Region” project with 5 layers of interdisciplinary solutions, this is the next step of “Binh Duong Smart City” project in the 2021-2025 period, in which the solution of developing balanced economy described in the 3^rd layer, through the specific trade-service development projects to close the gap between industry and trade-service here.

With the support of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, after intensive research, Becamex IDC Corporation and Central Group from Thailand, has reached high consensus in the development plan for the GO! Shopping Mall project at My Phuoc Industrial Park, Ben Cat Town. This is the founding stone for the long-term cooperation between both parties.

The “GO!” Shopping Mall project at Ben Cat town, is one of the areas located in Binh Duong Innovation Region, which has been scientifically and methodically planned with a diverse ecosystem, including many constructions that have been or are about to be put into operation, such as: Vietnamese German International University, Thu Dau Mot University, SetiaBecamex Urban Area, electronic and home appliance center such as Toyota, Dien May Xanh, The Gioi Di Dong and many other reputable brands. This place is also planned for many large-scale industrial parks such as My Phuoc 1-2-3-4, Bau Bang and VSIP with full occupancy of operating factories. In addition to inheriting the diverse ecosystem in the area, the “GO!” Shopping Mall was built at the arterial roads of National Highway 13 and Ring Road 4, flexibly connecting traffic to neighboring areas such as Cu Chi, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, and Central Highlands provinces. In the near future, this place will become the focal point of the community, able to serve more than 300,000 people in the locality and surrounding area.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Langlet Olivier Bernard – General Director of Central Retail Vietnam said: “GO! Shopping Mall construction project at Ben Cat town has a scale of 3 floors with a planning area of 3 hectares, and total investment of 35 million USD, including: fashion business center, dining, supermarket and entertainment services; thereby, contributing to bringing a new face to the local commercial sector, contributing to the economic and social development of Ben Cat Town in particular, and Binh Duong Province in general".

Binh Duong is one of the dynamic localities of the country, is at the forefront of administrative reform, the authorities and leaders always pay attention, support and create conditions with the open investment attraction policy. The GO! Shopping Mall project is being highly expected by the locals, hoping that the project will continue to receive the attention of the leaders of Binh Duong province and the authorities to be implemented on schedule, meet the expectations of investors and people, and create added value for the whole area.
