Ben Cat fulfills new-style rural construction

Today, April 25, Ben Cat town holds a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister’s decision on recognizing its completion of new-style rural construction program in 2018. This is the unceasing efforts by the local authorities at all levels plus locals’ consensus.

Rural region getting thriving

The rural image of Ben Cat town’s 3 new-style rural communes, namely An Dien, An Tay and Phu An have changed day by day. The lives of people herein have been improved considerably. One of their highlights is the annual increase of the average income per capita of the local people. Particularly, the figure was VND19.6million in 2012 and VND58.86million in 2018. The rate of poor households in the communes reduced to 0.85%, lower than that of the average level of the province…

So far, rural roads in the communes have been built and upgraded, ensuring the local demand for traveling. There are now 100% of communal-level roads to the center of the town covered by asphalt or concrete with a total length of 66.3 km.

Tran Minh Hieu, Chairman of An Tay communal People’s Committee said that the lives of the local people have been improved a lot since An Tay was recognized as a new-style rural commune. The commune now has a favorable traffic infrastructure system, making the local people get excited. Officials and people in the commune will further uphold the spirit of solidarity, gradually enhancing the quality of new-style rural construction criteria done over the past time. The commune is now home to national standard works like health station, cultural house, schools…, well meeting the local people’s demand for learning, healthcare and entertainment.

Improving quality of new-style rural construction criteria

Possibly seeing, the National Target Program on New-Style Rural Construction in Ben Cat town over the past years has made a strong pervasion, contributing to the local socio-economic development.

The town’s 3 new-style rural communes last year upgraded 40 rural roads of more than 16.92km with a total expense of more than VND38.7billion, aiming to enhancing the quality of new-style rural construction criteria. Till now, the town’s total expense for new-style rural construction has amounted to more than VND1.32trillion, including VND525billion from State budget, more than VND399.3billion from enterprises and VND337.5billion from people.

After nearly 4 years of improving criteria of the new-style rural construction program, the rural image of Phu An commune and the lives of the local people have changed vigorously. The commune is striving to become an advanced new-style rural commune by 2020. Huynh Thi Xuan Nuong, Vice-Chairwoman of Phu An communal People’s Committee said that the local Party, government and people have made efforts to enhance the lives of people and the local image after Phu An was recognized as a new-style rural commune. This task has been concretized by the resolutions of the local Party Committee, the plans and action programs of the local People’s Committee…

As of now, the commune’s traffic infrastructure system has been upgraded. The commune has also replicated effective production models; obtained positive results in terms of vocational training and job creation; maintained the local political security, social order and safety. According to the communal Steering Board of New-Style Rural Construction, raising people’s income and reducing the rate of poor households are defined as major tasks. Hence, leaders of the commune and mass organizations in the commune have mobilized the local people to make the shift of plant and animal structure towards higher economic values.

Huynh Thu Lap, Vice-Chairman of Ben Cat town’s People’s Committee said that the town has continued perfecting and concretizing the planning, adjustment of the new-style rural construction scheme in line with requirements of the restructuring of industrial manufacture; mobilized all resources to upgrade essential infrastructure facilities for socio-economic development.

In addition, the town has attached special importance to making production development, raising people’s income; decreasing poverty in association with the realization of the restructuring of agriculture towards added value increase and sustainable development.
