Binh Duong Newspaper marks 40th anniversary, receives second-class Labor Medal

Early December 30, Binh Duong Newspaper held a ceremony to mark its 40th anniversary (December 1, 1976-December 1, 2016) and receive the second-class Labor Medal. Attending the event were Nguyen Huu Tu, Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda; former leaders of provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council over periods; veteran journalists and representatives of press agencies in the region.

Song Be Newspaper was officially set up on December 1, 1976. In 1997, Song Be province was separated into Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. Binh Duong Newspaper was also established on the basic of inheriting and upholding achievements done by Song Be Newspaper. It has so far become a daily newspaper with 16 pages. With achievements done during the past 40, especially in the 2011-2015 period, it was awarded the second-class Labor Medal of State President…

On behalf of provincial Party Committee, Mr.Tu spoke highly of the development of Song Be-Binh Duong Newspaper during the past 40 years while wanting that the newspaper will better realize its role in social public opinion orientation, actually becoming a bridge between the local Party, government and people, being a forum for the local people to get involved in activities of the province; monitor and make social criticism; encourage the local people to actively take part in tasks of the province and successfully realize them.
