Binh Duong Province Public Security to celebrate the 71st anniversary of People's Police – Uncle Ho’s stilt house in Binh Duong to be inaugurated

Morning Aug 19, Binh Duong Province Public Security held a get-together to celebrate the 71^st anniversary of the People's Police (Aug 19^th 1945 - Aug 19^th2016). Attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; and leader generations of the province.

On behalf of Provincial Public Security, Colonel Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of Provincial Public Security, reviewed 71 years of the People's Police force. After 71 years of establishment and development, Provincial Public Security has continuously developed, kept promoting the noble traditions to be the most reliable and faithful force of the Party, Government and people in terms of political security, social order and safety protection. Namely, Provincial Public Security investigated more than 75% criminal cases; quickly discovered many serious economic, drug-related crimes… With the determination to complete assigned tasks, Provincial Police has effectively fight against crimes, investigated, solved more than 75% criminal offences to protect political security, social order and safety, peaceful and happy life of the people.

Due to these achievements, Provincial Public Security honorably received the Party and State’s awards, like: Ho Chi Minh Medal; 5 collectives and 4 individuals were presented the title of Hero of People's Armed Forces; 4,850 receptions of all-kind medals…

Speaking at the get-together, on behalf of provincial leadership, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, appreciated Provincial Public Security’s achievements in recent years. This force overcame difficulties and challenges, upheld the patriotic tradition; police generations have made brilliant feat of arms to contribute to ensuring political security, social order and safety. He also hoped that Provincial Public Security would keep promoting the tradition, overcome difficulties to successfully complete tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.

On this occasion, 7 individuals honorably received third-class Fatherland Defense Medal; 8 collectives and individuals received Ministry of Public Security’s merit certificate; 42 individuals received Provincial Public Security’s merit certificate for successfully completing Directive 03 of the Politburo on e movement of learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.

To remind everyone of the tradition “drinking water, remember its source”, express a deep gratitude to Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac (President Ho Chi Minh’s father), and to continue enhancing the studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, virtues, style, on occasion of the 126^th Uncle Ho’s birthday, in May 2016, Provincial Public Security started the construction of Uncle Ho's stilt house in Binh Duong. This project is to help provincial cadres, Party members, people, especially youth union members, who have not visited Uncle Ho's stilt house in Hanoi, to visit here and learn more about President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, noble personalities…

Uncle Ho's stilt house in Binh Duong was built based on the real Uncle Ho’s house in Hanoi with a total area of about 1.600m2, including a house on stilts, fish pond and garden. The house on stilts was built with an area of 108m2; has two floors, the upper floor has two rooms (12m2 each) as bedroom and workroom in winter; the lower floor has an area of 24m2, where Uncle Ho worked in summer, meeting room of the Politburo and important guests.

This is the stilt house, where Uncle Ho lived and worked from May 17^th 1958 until he died.
