Binh Duong receives 264 Vietnamese citizens from France

To implement the regulation of Military Command Region 7, Binh Duong province has received and quarantined 264 Vietnamese citizens flew from France. Immediately after leaving the airport, 263 citizens were put in quarantine at Becamex - My Phuoc Social Housing Zone (Ben Cat Town), 1 person was taken to quarantine area at Saigon Park Rerost Hotel (Thuan An City). 

Among citizens who returned to the country this time, there were 152 women and 111 men; 1 pregnant women, 14 children under 15 years old, 22 persons having certain underlying medical conditions. Currently, health status of these citizens is normal; they are waiting for test results from Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately after the reception, the provincial medical branch implemented a strict isolation procedure. Previously, in order to ensure the prevention of COVID-19 infection in medical quarantine for Vietnamese citizens returning homeland under the regulation of Military Region 7 and forces on duty, Provincial People's Committee issued a document to urgently demand related agencies and units to continue tightening the receiving and isolating process; request functional units to collaborate closely with Department of Health to strictly organize, receive and Vietnamese citizens from France, organize SARS-CoV-2 sampling and testing at quarantine zones.  

It is known that from beginning of the pandemic, Binh Duong province has received 15 flights to repatriate Vietnamese citizens; these were regulated by Military Region 7, with 4,595 quarantined cases in Becamex-My Phuoc social housing zone and new health center of Bau Bang district.
