Binh Duong’s delegation pays gift visit to soldiers on Nam Du archipelago

On January 2, a delegation of the Military Command of the Naval Zone 5, 9 provinces and cities in the southern region, enterprises and the Central Committee of the Youth Union visited, extended Tet greetings to officials, soldiers at the radar station 600, border post 742, Nam Du lighthouse and the Party Committee, People’s Committee of An Son commune on Nam Du archipelago in Kien Hai district in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

In the visiting places, members of the delegation extended best regards to officials, soldiers while encouraging them to well realize entrusted tasks. It is known that Nam Du archipelago includes 21 small and big islands, including 11 having residents with 2 administrative units  An Son and Nam Du communes of more than 10km. Two communes of the archipelego now has around 1,600 households with nearly 5,000 people.

In comparison with other islands in the southwestern sea region, the lives of people herein have got better with infrastructure facilities under construction...
