Binh Hoa trading-services cooperative works effectively

Thuan An city paid more attention to making dissemination of information about the Politburo’s Conclusion No.56-KL/TW dated February 21, 2013 on accelerating the realization of the Resolution of the 5th plenum of the 9th Party Central Committee on further improving the effectiveness of collective economy over the past years. During its development process, the city has always accompanied cooperatives and cooperative groups, helping them work effectively. Binh Hoa trading-services cooperative in Binh Hoa ward is a typical example for this.

Established in 2009 with total chartered capital of VND920million, Binh Hoa trading-services cooperative is specialized in processing, preserving meat and products from meat. It now has a total of 7 members.

The cooperative receives orders from clients with tens of thousands of pigs for slaughtering every month, according to cooperative deputy director Nguyen Quang Tam. Clients of the cooperative mainly come from HCM city and Thuan An city with resources from CP Vietnam Animal Husbandry Company and large-scale pig breeding facilities in Ben Cat town. It is known that the cooperative has also only received resources with clean origin and well complied with regulations on quarantine.

The cooperative has also attached special importance to environmental hygiene with a well-built waste treatment system. The slaughter house of the cooperative is around 3,000 square meters with around 6,000 cattle heads slaughtered every month and total monthly revenue of around VND120million. In 2019, the cooperative secured more than VND2.2billion and generated jobs for 8 laborers with the monthly income of VND10million per person.

It is known that the cooperative is opening another slaughter house with around 3,300 square meters. Along with a system of wide breeding facilities, the new slaughter houses will be equipped with more modern machines for higher productivity.

Ngo Trong Nghia, Chairman of Binh Hoa ward’s People’s Committee, Head of the ward’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development said that the effective operation of Binh Hoa trading-services cooperative is a good sign for the local collective economy. The cooperative has worked very stably, making contributions to the State budget while creating on-site jobs for laborers. The ward will further create favorable conditions for the cooperative to work.
