BUET, EIU open new academic year

Early October 4, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology (BUET) held a ceremony starting the 2019-2020 new academic year, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In the new academic year, the school will put focus on developing experimental and creative research centers, creating favorable conditions for teachers and students to nurture and make their initiates. They will be also the premise for business startup activities among students. In addition, the school will strengthen international cooperation programs in training; further promote the scale and quality of postgraduate training programs, contributing to supplying the society with competent human resources to serve tasks on socio-economic development of the province and the country.

On this occasion, Dr.Le Bich Phuong, Principal of the school was awarded the second-class Labor Medal from the State President. Provincial People’s Committee also presented the certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 3 individuals with excellent performance for 2 consecutive academic years.

*The same day, Eastern International University (EIU) organized a ceremony opening the 2019-2020 new academic year, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In the new academic year, the school welcomed 775 fresh students of the 9^th traning course in falculties: business administration, information technology, engineering and nursing. So far, more than 94% of the school’s students have got jobs after graduation. For its vision to 2030, the school will strive to become a multi-sector university with international rank and be one of Vietnam’s top centers for culture, research and technology transfer…

On this occasion, EIU held a ceremony signing cooperation agreements with partners, namely Bongfiglioli Company of Italia, Hon Chuan Company of Taiwan, SML Company of HongKong, Detmold Packaging Company of Australia, aiming to bring students employment opportunities. The school also awarded scholarships to fresh students…

Addressing the event, Mr.Hung applauded the efforts by EIU over the past time. The school needs to further research and update appropriate teaching ways to improve its teaching quality and training effectiveness; strive to become a prestigious training and reseach center in the region.
