Cau mountain-Dau Tieng reservoir tourist site: Opportunities for development

Cau mountain-Dau Tieng reservoir tourist site in Dau Tieng district welcomed more than 150,000 visitors, opening up more opportunities for the local tourism development on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2019.

Since 2015, provincial People’s Committee has approved a project on forest protection and afforestation in association with developing tourism and a semi-wildlife zoo implemented by Xuan Cau Company with total investment of more than VND1.5trillion. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of the district’s Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council said that the district’s People’s Committee has issued the Plan No.14/KH-UBND on the realization of a program on Dau Tieng’s tourism development for the period of 2016-2020. So far, the district has coordinated with relevant units to design tours to Cau mountain-Dau Tieng reservoir tourist site, DotCham-pa tourist site, Thanh Tuyen orchard…The district has also completed construction of 3 ferry stations with total investment of VND630million, creating favorable conditions for cruise ships to serve tourists sightseeing along Saigon river.

Along with calling for investment, the province and district’s functional agencies have taken synchronous measures on tourism development. Accordingly, the district has teamed up with relevant units to restore and protect relics, beautiful spots; strengthened tourism popularization…
