Chinese community in TDM city congratulates provincial leaders on Lady Thien Hau Temple festival

Early February 10, a delegation of Chinese community in TDM city visited and congratulated provincial leaders on the occasion of the Lady Thien Hau Temple festival 2017. Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Delegation; Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial People’s Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Vice-Chairpersons of provincial People’s Committee together with representatives of sectors, departments in the province.

At the reception, representative of the Chinese community in the city wished leaders of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, Fatherland Front Committee and sectors, departments good health and happiness. The whole city now has a total of 1,457 Chinese households with more than 13,000 people. Over the past time, they well realized the Party’s guidelines, the State’s laws and policies; actively got involved in social charity activities launched by the local authorities and Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. In 2016 alone, the local Chinese community spent more than VND2billion on social charity activities.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee informed the delegation of the province’s socio-economic development in 2016, in which there were contributions from the Chinese community. He also wanted that the Chinese community will further preserve, uphold fine traditions, cultural identities and maintain the annual Lady Thien Hau Lady Temple festival in order to enrich the local spiritual cultural features. Provincial leaders will create favorable conditions for the Chinese community to take part in economic development, effectively contributing to building up a more prosperous, civilized and beautiful Binh Duong.
