City to launch Action Month for Food Safety 2019

TDM city’s People’s Committee has just approved a plan to realize the Action Month for Food Safety 2019.

According to Nguyen Thu Cuc, Vice-Chairwoman of the city’s People’s Committee, the theme of this year’s Action Month for Safety is “Say no to low-quality and counterfeit foods to protect customers”. During the Action Month, apart from regular activities to ensure food safety and quality, the Steering Board needs to focus on such activities as organizing a ceremony to launch the Action Month, carrying out inspection tours over food trading facilities, especially on Tran Van On and Huynh Van Luy streets…

This is also a chance for the city to raise public awareness of selecting and using safe food. City-based food producing and trading facilities also need to improve their responsibility in seeking and supplying safe food sources for customers.
