Collective economic models uphold efficiency

Thuan An city’s Party organizations and authorities at all levels created favorable conditions for the local collective economy to develop over the past time. Upon this, the sector made active contributions to the local socio-economic development.

Propaganda well realized

Over the past years, Thuan An city’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development actively instructed its branches to promote the local collective economic sector. The Steering Board also grasped the operational situation of cooperatives, cooperative groups and credit’s people funds; made dissemination of information about the Cooperative Law 2012 and certified cooperative contacts of cooperatives under the spirit of the Government’s Decree No.151/2007/Nd-CP dated October 10, 2007.

The city also coordinated with provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alliance of Cooperatives to organize short-term training courses on management for cooperatives, dissemination of regulations under the Cooperative Law 2012…Noticeably, the city also spent the local State budget on supporting cooperatives, cooperative groups through agricultural promotion programs…

Nguyen Thi Chau Ngan, Head of Thuy Duong mushroom cooperative group in An Phu ward’s quarter 2 said that thanks to being trained about collective economy, she has bravely developed 6 mushroom facilities of 500 square meters with hi-economic efficiency.

Effective models

The city is now home to 9 cooperatives and 1 cooperative’s branch on transportation, environmental hygiene, 8 cooperatives and 1 cooperative’s branch on services and the remainder on industrial manufacture and trade.

Quan Van Binh, Chairman of An Phu ward’s People’s Committee said that the ward now has 4 cooperatives on traffic-transportation, environmental hygiene and 2 cooperatives on clean vegetable and mushroom growing. The ward has always created advantageous conditions for cooperatives, cooperative groups to develop stably, contributing to generating jobs for locals.

However, the city’s collective economic sector has still faced obstacles for change. In the coming time, the city will further direct steering boards of collective economic development at all levels to promote collective economic models; well realize propaganda work, disseminate the Cooperative Law in 2021, the Law on Corporate Income Tax and related documents.

In addition, the city’s Steering Board of Collective Economic Development has asked for localities to propagandize the benefits of collective economy among people, create favorable conditions for people to develop cooperatives and cooperative groups in association with urban agriculture; teamed up with relevant units to support loans for cooperatives, cooperative groups to maintain their effective production…
