Dau Tieng further improves criteria of new-style rural construction program

The 4^th Dau Tieng district’s People’s Council for the 2016-2021 tenure, on July 17, held the 9^th session with focus on reviewing its implementation of resolutions on socio-economic development, national defence-security in the first half of 2019.

Reportedly, the district over the past six months gained major results in all fields. The district’s total GDP value was estimated at more than VND6.88trillion or 44% of the year’s plan and up 14% compared to the same period last year. Thanh An commune also basically fulfilled all 19 criteria of the new-style rural construction program under a set of the program’s advanced criteria is suggesting provincial People’s Committee to consider and recognize it as an advanced new-style rural commune. The remaining communes are improving their quality of new-style new rural criteria.

The district’s People’s Committee also well realized the national target program on poverty reduction and social welfare; maintained the local political security, social order-security…The whole district is now home to 625 poor households under the province’s new poverty line.

At the session, members of the district’s People’s Committee forwarded their question and answer session about hot issues. The session also implemented the dismissal for the title of vice-chairman of the district’s People’s Council. Some people were dismissed by the district’s People's Council for the 2016-2021 tenure.
