Delegation of Cambodian women for peace and development visit Binh Duong

Early March 16, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received and worked with a delegation of Kratie province’s women for peace and development in Cambodia, led by Bon Sophi, Deputy Chief of Kratie province.

Mr.Liem applauded the delegation’s visit and said that Binh Duong and Kratie have so far reached long-term friendship and cooperation. He also briefly informed the delegation of Binh Duong’s socio-economic development. Over the past time, Binh Duong kept up rapid economic growth with strong development in terms of industrial manufacture, trade and services. Especially, Binh Duong last year ranked fourth in Provincial Competitiveness Index among 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The province also paid attention to social welfare policies. He also wished the delegation a useful visit to the province.

At the reception, Mrs.Bon Sophi expressed her impression at Binh Duong’s development. She said that the delegation’s visit aimed to tighten friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia while exchanging and sharing experience on socio-economic development with Binh Duong.

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation also had a working session with provincial Women’s Union.
