Delegation of localities in southern region pays gift visit to soldiers, people on southern islands

On January 1, a delegation of the High Command of the Military Zone 5, 9 provinces and cities in the southern region, enterprises and the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union visited, extended Tet greetings to officials, soldiers at the radar station 615, border post 704, lighthouse station, charity class and self-management group on Chuoi isle in Tran Van Thoi district’s Song Doc township in the southernmost province of Ca Mau.

On this occasion, Binh Duong province donated a gift from provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) to a soldier who is on duty on Chuoi isle from Binh Duong homeland. Provincial FFC also mobilized donors to offer 76 sets of clothes, 23 sets of learning tools and 230 notebooks to pupils at the charity class. In addition, provincial Youth Union gave each pupil VND500,000.

*Earlier, a program in celebration of the New Year 2020 was held on the ship 623 of the Naval Zone 5 for more than 160 officials, soldiers and correspondents who have participated in the journey of visiting, extending Tet greetings to soldiers under the Naval Zone 5.

The program took place animatedly art performance items, creating a joyful atmosphere of the moment in celebration of the New Year full of faith to be determined to win.

*On December 31, the delegation also visited, extended Tet greetings, offered gifts to officials, soldiers at the radar station 595, border post, forest management station and lighthouse station on Khoai isle in Ca Mau province’s Ngoc Hien district.
