Di An launches Action Month for Food Safety and Hygiene 2019

Early April 18, Di An town’s Steering Board of Food Safety and Hygiene held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Food Safety and Hygiene 2019.

With the theme of “Say no to low-quality and counterfeit food to protect customers”, this year’s Action Month for Food Safety and Hygiene will focus on making dissemination of information about food safety and hygiene issues, aiming to minimize food poisoning cases; strengthen the role and responsibility of functional agencies in overseeing the implementation of regulations on food safety and hygiene for food producing and trading facilities…

After the ceremony, the Steering Board also organized a parade through the town’s main streets to effectively propagandize activities to ensure food safety and hygiene among locals. The town’s inter-sectorial inspection delegations will also boost inspection tours over the local food producing and trading facilities, street markets… to guarantee food safety and hygiene.
