Ministry of Health has just issued guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of thrombocytopenia and thrombotic syndrome after Covid-19 vaccination. Accordingly, the guidance applies to all public and private healthcare facilities across the nation.
On such basis, commune, ward, district or equivalent health centers of district under grade 4 should monitor people after vaccination. If at least one of the clinical symptoms appears, such person needs transferring to a higher level. At districts under grade 3 and equivalent hospitals, after Covid-19 vaccination, tests need performing against one of the following symptoms: persistent headache, portal thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis, bleeding manifestations, skin hemorrhage, etc. The tests should include platelet count, basic coagulation test, D-dimer quantitative test and other exploration by ultrasound, X-ray, CLVT, magnetic resonance etc. to find the causes. If a person after vaccination shows abnormal symptoms, it is necessary to refer to a higher level or consult a specialist. If no abnormalities incurred, continue to monitor and perform the above daily tests and other investigations as needed.
