Diverse models on gathering members

Provincial Women’s Union now manages 1,227 clubs and groups with 28,730 members, helping build up advanced, well-off and happy families and narrowing the gap on gender equality between men and women.

Effective models

The group 7 in Minh Hoa commune’s Hoa Loc hamlet in Dau Tieng district (or called Be village) is getting animated with the “Dam am yeu thuong” (Warmness of love) model presenting clothes to poor women.

Ngo Thi My Chau, Chairwoman of Minh Hoa communal Women’s Union said that in recent years, the lives of people in Be village have changed a lot, but there are many households with difficult circumstances. Hence, the communal Women’s Union has implemented the above model.

On the day of launching the model, 20 members of the communal Women’s Union collected 2,000 sets of clothes for needy women in Be village. The Tet (Lunar New Year) festival is approaching, the model will contribute to sharing love with needy women via warm clothes.

Many other practical models have also been implemented by the Women’s Unions of localities in the province. They include the “Collecting waste” model of Long Hoa communal Women Union in Dau Tieng district; the “Raising piggybanks” model of Phu Giao district’s Women Union…

Diverse activities

Over the past years, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels made efforts in diversifying models on gathering members. Provincial Women’s Union now manages 1,227 clubs and groups with 28,730 members. They work based on the local real situation and women’s demand.
