Education and training sector to support Action Month of Food Safety 2021

 In response to Food Safety Action Month 2021 (from April 15 to May 15), provincial Department of Education and Training has directed educational institutions and schools to cooperate with health authorities and relevant local agencies to launch the action month in the province with the theme: "To guarantee food safety, prevent food poisoning in the new normal situation".

Department leaders requested schools to carry out propaganda, educational and training activities for students; organize communication activities for teachers, staff, food processing staff in collective kitchens, school cafeterias and students' parents about food safety. For the safety and health of students, schools focused on contents, such as: To ensure the safety of sanitary conditions in collective kitchens, cafeterias, equipment, tools for preliminary processing, processing, preservation and transportation of food; choosing and using safe food, say no to dirty and poor-quality food; understand correctly, thoroughly learn information about healthy foods, use right foods for health protection; personal hygiene in the prevention of food contamination and food-borne diseases.

In addition, schools need to organize environmental sanitation activities on school campuses, classrooms, and school toilets to prevent infectious diseases and proactively control prevent epidemics and diseases at schools.
