Ms. Mang's family is a poor household with extremely difficult circumstance. Presenting sewing machine to Ms. Mang was an activity within action program to support mediums for poor households of this association.

One new case receiving support was Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai in Dinh An commune, Dau Tieng district with a leg disability. At the beginning of 2019, the association sponsored Ms. Mai to learn sewing at a factory in Dau Tieng town. After this vocational training, Ms. Mai was employed by this factory as a secondary worker. Currently her salary is about VND4.5 million / month, this is enough for Mai to cover her living expenses. It is expected that until the end of 2019, this association would support mediums for 135 poor households.

A meaningful action

Recently, activities to support the poor in working and production have achieved many good results. To continue implementing the multi-dimensional poverty reduction program in the new period, Binh Duong strives to give vocational training, create jobs for the poor. The entire cost of VND 800 million was funded by socialization. The support level for learning is based on Decision No. 353/QD-UBND of Provincial People's Committee approving the implementation plan of vocational training scheme for rural workers in Binh Duong province in 2017. In addition vocational training costs, localities in the province actively negotiated with vocational training institutions to support and reduce tuition fees for trainees with mutual affection spirit for the poor. Therefore, this model has achieved the best financial support from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province.

Nguyen Van Nam, Chairman of provincial Sponsoring Association for People with Disabilities, Orphans and Poor Patients, added: “These classes take place at production facilities and businesses so that trainees would master skills, be employed after apprenticeship and meet social requirements. Although this model is not limited in terms of training occupations, students need to select professions according to their aspirations, practical conditions, and the ability to get a job, creat stable income after vocational training, such as: sewing; hair dressing; motorbike and car repairing; forklift, excavator driving; cultivation and animal husbandry..."
