Update: 13-11-2018 | 16:07:38

The lyric of “Tre em hom nay, the gioi ngay mai” (Children for now, the world for future) has affirmed the important role of children for the society. Hence, with the efforts by authorities at all levels, many children with difficult circumstances in the province have been offered help towards a brighter future.

Mobilizing all resources to take care of children

Donors awarded scholarships, notebooks, bicycles…to children with difficult circumstances over the past time, helping them overcome difficulties and further pursue their learning.

This is a useful playground for children, funded by provincial Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization

Lately, Dai Thien Loc Joint Stock Company offered bicycles and gifts to 10 needy pupils in Thu Dau Mot city at the closing ceremony of the 5th BTV cycling tournament-Dai Thien Loc Cup 2018. After receiving these gifts, they went home in turn within the joy and happiness. They also send thanks to donors and pledged to try harder in study.

Apart from using the local State budget, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) in collaboration with provincial Children Support Fund mobilized agencies, units and enterprises to join hands in taking care of children with fatal illness…

The local authorities at all levels also mobilized organizations and individuals to create useful playgrounds for children over the past time. Particularly, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. built a recreational area for children at its Cultural-Sports Center. Or, Thu Dau Mot city constructed parks while mobilizing units to install fitness machines and toys for children. All contributed to creating healthy playgrounds for the local children, helping them get comprehensive development.

Towards safe living environment

Along with receiving material and spiritual care, children need to have a safe living environment for comprehensive development. This was also one of tasks made by sectors, departments and localities in the province during the past time. They focused on building a safe living environment for children. So far, 100% communes, wards and towns in the province have reached standards in line with children. Many effective models, namely “Safe house for children”, “Prevention of drowning”… were implemented through the movement.

Mass organizations in the province also held a training course on child care and protection for members and people. Particularly, provincial Women’s Union disseminated a program against injuries in children. Provincial Farmers’ Association also held a program on prevention of drowning, absorbing the participation of members and people. Whilst, the Divisions of Education and Training had a lot of training courses on the Law on Children, the Decree No.56/2017/ND-CP, the program against injuries in children…

Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Vice-Director of provincial DoLISA asserted that along with the sector of labor, war invalids and social affairs, sectors, authorities at all levels of the province and the whole community need to join hands in taking care of all children, especially those with extremely difficult circumstances so that they can reach comprehensive development and strive to become useful citizens of the society.

Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee has also suggested all relevant agencies, the People’s Committees of districts, towns and cities to further improve public awareness of child protection and care; seriously and sufficiently implement 25 children’s rights under the law; build up a safe life for children via suitable forms; strengthen education of morality and lifestyle in family and school to change education methods for children; guide family members, teachers and pupils about knowledge against injuries, skills on child protection…
