EVN proposes to support electricity bill for hospitals, medical examination and treatment facilities and concentrated isolation center to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic.

On March 31, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) said that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Group issued Resolution No. 36-NQ/DU on March 30, 2020 on a number of solutions to overcome difficulties for production and business, ensure social security to cope with COVID-19 epidemic. Accordingly, EVN proposed the Government to allow 100% of electricity bill for medical examination and treatment facilities and concentrated isolation areas to prevent and combat COVID-19 epidemic. At the same time, EVN also proposed to support 50% of electricity bill for a number of other medical examination and treatment facilities, in which the function of examining, testing, treating patients suspected to be infected or infected with COVID-19 is just one of many mission of the facility.

Regarding the period of application of electricity support policy, EVN proposes that the application period is the electricity bill periods of April, May and June 2020.

According to preliminary statistics, in addition to the hospitals and health facilities treating people infected with COVID-19, there are currently thousands of isolated facilities concentrated in suspected people, including a number of hospitals and facilities of health, military and police stations, schools, hotels, and dormitories.
