Export turnover in January up nearly 18%

According to provincial Department of Industry and Commerce, the province’s export turnover in January, 2018 was more than US$2.65million, up 3.8% and 17.9% compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

Of these, the domestic investment sector achieved US$474.2million, up 3.6% and 13.5% against the previous month and the same period last year while the foreign investment sector gained more than US$2.17million, up 3.8% and 18.9% compared to the previous month and the same period last year. Among the province’s 23 main export products, 19 (including woodwork, garment, footwear, pottery, rubber latex…) gained a growth of over 10%.

In 2018, the sector has set a target of export turnover growth at 15.5% compared to the same period last year.

*Provincial Department of Customs said that on the days-off for Tet, there were 25 enterprises getting involved in export-import activities with 220 declarations that had a total turnover of US$7.19million. Among these customs declarations, 108 with turnover of US$2.14million were realized at VSIP Customs Sub-Department; 41 with turnover of US$3.81million at Song Than Customs Sub-Department; 32 with turnover of more than US$412.2 at TDM Customs Sub-Department…
