Focusing on well realizing action programs of provincial Party Committee, plans of provincial People’s Committee

Early February 24, provincial People’s Committee held a periodic session to approve the local report on socio-economic development, national defence and security in February, which was presided over by Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

In February, provincial People’s Committee concentrated on implementing the Resolutions of the Government, provincial Party Committee and People’s Council on socio-economic development, national defence-security in 2017; organized activities in celebration of the Lunar New Year; increased supply of goods, stabilizing the market; ensured social welfare, political security, social order-safety before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2017.

In the first two months of the year, the province’s IIP index surged 5.7% compared to last year’s same period. The province’s total retail sales of commodities and services reached VND28trillion, up 17.3% against last year’s same period. The province also gained more than US$4.11billion in export turnover, up 10.2% against last year’s same period; absorbed more than VND4.1trillion in domestic capital and US$748.5million in FDI capital…

Concluding the session, Mr.Liem asked for sectors and localities in the province to seriously comply with discipline, correct working style, have good coordination in work, focus on well realizing the Action Programs of provincial Party Committee, Plans of provincial People’s Committee to assure completion of the local targets on socio-economic development in 2017.

He also assigned a task of issuing programs, plans to absorb investment projects for socio-economic development to provincial Department of Planning and Investment. Provincial Department of Construction was also commissioned to carry out a plan to boost social housing development, recheck criteria on urban development. Whilst, he entrusted provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism with a job of focusing on preparing for the 2^nd National “Don ca tai tu” (Amateur singing) festival 2017…
