Food safety management strengthened

According to Department of Industry and Trade, in 2020, the department made effort to verify food safety and appraise facilities eligible for food safety to organizations and individuals as prescribed. Namely, Department of Industry and Trade issued 40 new certificates for 70 qualified food shops, 1 supermarket, and 1 re-issued certificate due to change of owners; 68 certificates for qualified food production establishments.

Department of Industry and Trade actively collaborated with economic offices of districts, towns, cities, and food production and business establishments to implement "Action Month for food hygiene safety in 2020"; took part in the interdisciplinary inspectorate on food hygiene safety advertising activities at food production and business establishments in the province; carried out inspection and post-inspection of food hygiene safety.
